Megève Harmony Orchestra
The Megève Harmony Orchestra was officially founded in 1838. Formerly a fanfare, today a harmony orchestra, the OHM is composed of all the instruments characteristic of this type of formation: flutes, piccolo flute, oboes, bassoons, clarinets, bass clarinet, alto, tenor and baritone saxophones, trumpets, cornets, French horns, trombones, euphoniums, baritones, wind double basses and percussion. All these instruments are taught at the Megève music school. The Megève harmony orchestra has regularly entered competitions organized by the Confédération Musicale de France since 1993, and is currently classified in the "superior first section" division.
The Megève Harmony Orchestra is currently made up of 65 musicians.
